Loving People Because of a Loving God.

Young Adults & Couples Teacher

Tracy Edwards accepted God's free gift of salvation at the age of 9. Here is his journey in his own words.  "My walk with God's plan for my life was diverted by my pride when I was 16 and I spent 12 years running my life on my own for 15 years. I have a great perspective of what it's like to be away from God and God not being away from me. I am here today only because of the grace of God's mercy and love.
After my family situation had changed with the realization that my family had no Godly direction we started visiting churches and really never fit in until we started going to Radnor. I was blessed by joining Radnor and shortly after I was asked to play drums, which got me plugged in immediately. Then I was asked to be a deacon, which I never saw myself as or with my background thought of doing. This event showed me that God was not concerned with my past but what I was doing at the time and in the future.
Steve, for reasons I do not know, and him not really knowing me asked if I would teach a couples class a couple of years ago. This puzzled me since I had no experience in teaching or even talking about my faith in front of people. I accepted it after accepting the fact that God wanted me to know Him better. That decision has enhanced my relationship with God and made me accountable to others that I love and respect. Not that I would have drifted from church, but this group I lead each Sunday has blessed me which takes away the discomfort I feel each class.
My concept for this class was to not teach, but to take everybody in the class with me on my life walk with God and hopefully by my growing they would do the same. I am not sufficient to teach and have no problem with that fact. My goal for me and the class is to be transparent in my relationship with God for everyone to see and they do the same. Then whatever the lesson is we discuss it and relate it to our lives."
I would hope someone entering the class for the first time that they would get that we are all on a life journey with God and no one is better than the other, just have a more consistant walk which will lead to growth in our relationship with God and each other. Every perspective is valued and filtered through the Bible.
